Just found another Athlon L2 program... it runs under DOS as an .EXE file, so it can be run from AUTOEXEC.BAT... it doesn't work with any memory managers. So, it is basically another version of K7L2DOS (or MAthlon V1.00, which was also a K7L2DOS clone, but at least it ran with EMM386, etc.), absolutely no features added.

The funny thing is, that the guy told me he is going to crack MAthlon to achieve this "goal"... check out the e-mail below, that I got on July 17th. On the other hand, he thanks Thomas Combeléra for the L2 info, so MAthlon might have avoided the attack ;-)

Well, at least MAthlon has matured to the point where it is actually worth cracking it for information :-)))

I making a program (www.sysid.subnet.dk) and i want to implant Athlon L2 cache speed! and i can see your program can read and write the speed. So i though that you could give me a littel information on the athlon (MSR). It's better then disassemble ;-)

The BBS is still very unpopular :-(((. I would like to request all users of MAthlon to ask their questions and share their experiences on the BBS (and not necessarily in email, with me), as it can serve as a general knowledge base for MAthlon, as well as cool overclocking info, etc. For example, if I find any Athlon serial numbers that are of importance, I will post it on the BBS and not on the page. MAthlon V3.00 Beta 1 is finished! I know I am not very objective about MAthlon, but trust me, this version IS THE FIRST REAL VERSION!!! I believe MAthlon now seriously kicks similar programs all over their ass :-))

PLUSABIT BBS @ EZBoards is up (August 19. - Saturday)

PLUSABIT BBS is now available at a much better, faster and friendlier place than Delphi. I don't plan on moving from the new place anytime soon. Sorry for the few posts at the old place, but there really weren't many, so losing them is maybe not that much of a tragedy.

The BBS button on the top has been updated to point to the new BBS.

I have put up an MSR listing on the ASM info page... this is some information that many have been searching for (thanks to Decoupler for this one, amongst many!). I am planning on making my site THE Athlon Programmers' Info Center. So should you have any info, documentation or experience with the Athlon/TBird/Duron processor, do not hesitate to mail it to me

I will be on a holiday :-) from July 27th until August 11th, so there will be no updates to the page. I really hope to release MAthlon V3.00 (at least a Beta 1) before I leave, but I can't promise anything.
